16 weeks: Time for maternity clothes

I had my 16 week appointment Tuesday and everything is good. I can't believe it's already time to book my 20 week ultrasound! It seems like I had to wait forever for the ultrasound last time; it's gone by in a flash this time around.

I finally had to pull out the maternity clothes yesterday. I only have 1 pair of shorts and 1 pair of capris that really still fit and I can't wear them every day! I guess I'm going to have to start watching my weight gain (ugh!)-- last time, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't gain tons of weight, but this time I may have already put on 10 lbs and most of it in the last couple of weeks. I think I need to hit the gym while I still can-- but, man, is it hard to be motivated.

Nathan is getting a lot of practice in on his temper tantrums. They are still pretty low key, but they are becoming more frequent. He's learning all sorts of new words, like 'airplane' and 'bubbles.' His Aunt Laura has also successfully taught him 'booger'-- he has no idea what it means; I think that he thinks it's her name : )

How are you both doing? It must almost be time for your big ultrasound, Sarah!

I'm utterly impressed that it took you 16 weeks before you had to pull out your maternity clothes! I was in "fat pants" (the kind with all elastic waists) at 8 weeks and fully into maternity wear at 12 weeks. I'm actually pretty pleased with my weight gain. I'm almost completely on track with the books (@ 20lbs), even though it looks like I should be about 50lbs at this time! Can't believe how big I'm getting. It'll be so much fun to take the next preggy girls picture on the 18th. Hopefully you BOTH will have belly's to show by then!
